In case you missed them these are the top three stories from the past week.

The top three stories on www.germistoncitynews.co.za for the week of March 7 to 13 were:

1. Car thief dies while trying to evade capture:

A high-speed chase between car thieves and the police resulted in the death of one of the suspects. Germiston police members, with the help of a local security company, gave chase after the suspects stole a vehicle from a parking area of a Lambton shopping centre.

2. Woman bitten while on an evening walk:

Sunnyridge residents Tyler and Kathy Glaus’s evening walk ended in tragedy, when Kathy was badly bitten by a dog, which escaped from a yard. The two were walking up Turnhout Avenue, towards the park, at around 6pm, when the incident took place.

3. Elderly woman attacked in her Lambton home:

A 72-year-old woman was attacked and tied up in her Baird Avenue, Lambton home, recently. Her attacker made off with jewellery, her cellphone and some money she had in her purse. Lambton Klip Sector Four CPF members assisted at the scene.
