Children’s safety put first

Put your children first this Easter.

In preparation of the upcoming Easter Holidays, Cartrack and Wheel Well will be handing out more than 100 car seats to ensure the safety of Gauteng’s children.

The purpose of the handout is to raise awareness of the need to have babies, toddlers and small children strapped into a safe car seat while travelling, and to provide car seats to the community.

Those who wish to get involved are also invited to donate used car seats on the day.

The Wheel Well programme was founded by Peggie Mars.

The sole purpose of the programme is to collect car seats from donors that are cleaned, checked for defects, refurbished and made available to needy families, for a small donation.

These families are then encouraged to perpetuate the cycle once their children have outgrown their car seats.

The handout will take place at East Rand Mall, in Boksburg, at Entrance one, from 9am to 1pm on Saturday,  March 28 and forms part of the Car Seats for Kids initiative.
