Be alert at all times, warns CPF

Be careful when stopping at your gate.

The Lambton Klip Sector Four CPF is warning residents to be on the alert.

This follows a hijacking in Cleator Street, Hazel Park, at about 2.30pm on Thursday.

Liaison member of the Lambton Klip Sector Four CPF Pine Pienaar told the GCN that the owner of a Toyota Prado arrived home and got out of the vehicle, in order to open the gate.

“A silver new shape Toyota pulled up and a man jumped out of it and into the Toyota Prado, and sped away towards Dinwiddie,” said Pienaar.

“The Lambton Klip Sector Four patrollers were on the scene within minutes and alerted the SAPS.

“The vehicle was found abandoned and was recovered within an hour of the incident, in Verwoerdpark, Alberton.”

No injuries were sustained during the incident.
