1. Police don’t help pensioners after attack on highway:

Delville pensioners were attacked on the N3 highway, near the Cydonia Road bridge, after their car hit a rock. After an assailant tried to shoot William Gilbert three times, he took off, stealing Woolbridge’s handbag. Police stopped but did nothing to assist the couple.

2. Local companies to assist in case against the police:

Sunnyridge resident Anika Doussy has initiated a case against the Minister of Police. After she was thought to be a “missing girl”, she was picked up and treated badly by the Primrose police. Two companies, Swanepoel Attorneys and Precision Debt Collectors, have taken on her case.

3. Shoot-out between hijackers and police results in recovery of vehicle:

A Germiston South resident was hijacked in his Galway Street driveway at about 11.20pm, last Saturday night. Police gave chase and the suspects opened fire on them. A shoot-out ensued and the police managed to recover the hijacked vehicle.

4. Police swoop on drug lab and confiscate R2-million worth of mandrax:

Mandrax with an estimated value of R2-million has been confiscated by police in Buhle Park, last Tuesday. Two men, aged 35 and 36, were arrested on the scene. It is alleged that the men were manufacturing the drug on the premises.

5. Woman attacked by family:

The Primrose police arrested three suspects accused of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, recently. The arrests took place after it is alleged the suspects attacked a woman when she took her four-year-old’s scooter off another child.
