Primrose police teach children about national pride

Students learn to hoist a flag.

Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police and other members of the Primrose police, recently visited Laerskool Oosterkruin and Hoërskool Goudrif to teach the pupils about national pride.

Hoërskool Goudrif were recently taught how to hoist and care for their national flag, by members of the Primrose police.

The presentation saw pupils learning how to hoist the national flag, as well as the importance of the flag to the country.

To finish the presentation, Sgt Maome taught the pupils how to properly fold and store their school’s national flag.

“It is hoped, that through projects like this, we will encourage national pride in our youth,” said Sgt Maome.
