Woman attacked in her own home

Mother and child attacked with stones.

Members of the Primrose police recently arrested a 42-year-old Makause informal settlement resident on charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The woman was arrested after the victim of the attack travelled to the Primrose Police Station to open a formal case against the accused.

The victim explained that she had been in her shack with friends when her son came in crying.

She asked him why he was crying, but before he could answer the accused entered and started swearing at them. She also threw stones at the pair.

Using the description given by the victim, detectives were able to trace the woman and she was arrested.
