Drug lab in Buhle Park raided, police confiscate mandrax.

Mandrax with an estimated value of R2-million has been confiscated by police in Buhle Park, Germiston.

The bust took place at about 11.15am, on Tuesday, by members of the Hawks and the Johannesburg Flying Squad, who were conducting operations in the Buhle Park area.

The officers raided a house in the area and discovered a large amount of mandrax tablets and mandrax powder.

Two men, aged 35 and 36, were arrested on the scene.

It is alleged that the men were manufacturing the drug on the premises.

They were detained at the Elsburg Police Station and are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon, where they will face charges of dealing in and being in possession of an undesirable dependence producing substance.
