Stage one load shedding to be implemented from 10am

Eskom confirms load shedding for today (Tuesday).

Eskom has confirmed that stage one load shedding will be implemented from 10am this morning (Tuesday).

Load shedding has become a norm with communities being plunged into darkness on a number of occasions this year.

The latest bout of load shedding comes after a technical fault at the Koeberg Power Station, which led to unit one being taken offline.

Eskom’s Khulu Phasiwe said this morning, “The power system is severely constrained again.

“As a result, we’re implementing stage one of load shedding.

“In the interim, we’re asking our customers to do whatever they can to reduce their load.

“All non-essential appliances and geysers must be switched off.”
