Vusa Umuntu Community Service focuses on families in need

Hunderd-and-fifty families receive some relief.

During the festive season, the Vusa Umuntu Community Service Group delivered groceries to underprivileged families.

The group focused their efforts on four areas, which included, the Germiston CBD, Dukathole, Spruitview Chrishani formal settlement and Kahlehong.

The families were thrilled to receive the food.

The Vusa Umuntu Community Service Group is still appealing to the community to get involved and donate.

The group is currently working towards obtaining a bakkie, or bicycles, for their team of capable volunteers.

They are hopeful that the new mode of transport will allow team members to move around effectively and make a difference in the community.

The Vusa Umuntu Community Service Group thanks the Ekurhuleni Social Development’s Phumla Nkosi as well as Thermitec’s Peter Rice, JOC Abrasives, Mario Dos Santos and Willard’s Chips for their continued support in the group’s outreach programmes.
