Metro welcomes Ekurhuleni’s festive season babies

MMC visits Ekurhuleni hospitals to personally welcome the babies born on Christmas and New Years Day.

Christmas Day saw some mothers receiving the most precious gift of all, a beautiful Christmas baby.

To help welcome the new additions, member of mayoral committee (MMC) for health and social services, Clr Makhosazana Mabaso visited the Natalspruit Hospital in Vosloorus, the Bertha Gxowa Hospital in Germiston and the Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg.

Mabaso brought along goodies for each of the bundles of joy born at these hospitals on Christmas Day.

The gift packs included metro branded bathtubs, baby blankets and baby products.

Speaking to their mothers Mabaso said, “I wish the children good health and those who are not with their mothers to get better soon so they can be reconnected with their mothers.”

She further urged the mothers to breastfeed and take good care of their children.

The MMC visited the Pholosong Hospital in Tsakane as well as the Far East Rand hospital in Brakpan and Tembisa hospital on New Years Day to once again welcome the babies who were born on this special day.
