Elsburg Hulphoekie treats children and their parents

The Elsburg Hulphoekie recently hosted a Christmas party.

The party, held for less fortunate children in the community, saw the Hulphoekie spoiling 27 children and their parents.

“The event was held in the yard of Martie Kleyn who opened her house and heart to make these kids feel special,” explained Natasha Viljoen.

“A very generous lady by the name of Petro Cronje, owner of Magico Moments, sponsored the treats which included slush puppies, popcorn, candy floss, cupcakes and sweets.

“Cronje’s friends and clients played secret santa’s to the 27 children.

“Each one received a set of clothes and a toy.

“Jennifer Morgan sponsored the money to make sure each parent also receives something to eat and drink.

“Not only did the Elsburg community participate, but also members of Alberton whom I’ve never met before,” continued Viljoen.

The day, which was filled with lots of fun laughter was enjoyed by all who attended.

“The Elsburg Hulphoekie couldn’t be prouder of how the days turn out,” concluded Viljoen.
