The public is urged to visit the Germiston Donor Centre (at Lambton Court Shopping Centre), make a blood donation and hang up a blood buddy on the Christmas tree, this festive season.
SANBS is encouraging the public to find 30 minutes this holiday period to donate blood, because whilst you are relaxing and enjoying the break your blood will be out there saving up to three lives.
Criteria:
- Be 16 years and older.
- Weigh 50kg and over.
- Lead a safe sexual lifestyle.
- Be in good health.
It is only possible to meet the demand with the help of regular and committed blood donors.
