Man robbed in his home

Man robbed in the early hours on the morning.

A 36-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police and charged with armed robbery.

The arrest was made when the victim of the attack travelled to the Primrose Police Station to open a case against the accused.

The man who lives in the Makause informal settlement, explained to officers he had been asleep when he heard a knock on his door.

Recognising the voice he opened the door.

“After opening the door the complainant alleged that the accused pointed a firearm at him.

“There was a man with the accused who entered the home, armed with a sharp object,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer of the Primrose police.

The men took cash to the value of R3000, shoes, a bank card, ID, Samsung Galaxy 4S and three USBs.

The value of all items taken is estimated at R 5700.

Officers were able to trace the first man, using the description given by the victim.

Officers are still searching for the second man.
