Children celebrate Christmas with the Witwatersrand Rifles.

The Witwatersrand Rifles Regimental and Family Association held a special Christmas Tree for 26 children from Epworth Children’s Village on Saturday.

The day was filled with fun and laughter and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves playing ball games outside and being entertained by magician Vicus Cruywagen and his assistant Sparkle.

They enjoyed party packs and juice while they watched the show.

The party held at the regiment’s headquarters also had a special visitor Father Christmas (Joe Cole).

Each child received a present which comprised of basic stationery, toys and a R200 East Rand Mall voucher.

The association plans to make the charity Christmas Tree an annual event.
