Jabulo Majola found guilty of murder

Sgt Sam Ngqoleka secures conviction.

Dedicated Primrose detective Sgt Sam Ngqoleka was recently able to secure a conviction in a 2012 murder case.

The murder took place in May of 2012, at the corner of Lower Main Reef and Stanhope roads.

Jabulo Majola, who was 29 years old at the time of the murder, was found guilty of killing his friend.

It is reported that he struck the deceased with a rock and burnt him.

Majola was recently sentenced in the Germiston Magistrates Court.

He was sentenced to five years direct imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm.

Station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo and his management congratulated Ngqoleka on his hard work and dedication.

Khuzwayo encouraged other members of the police station to learn from the sergeant.

“If our detectives continue to work hard we will achieve a lot,” he said.

“Convictions such as these will send a message to criminals that they will be removed from the community and sent to jail.”
