The Primrose police recently arrested a 39-year-old man on charges of sexual assault.
The arrest was made in Rietfontein Road, after police received a call from a woman, alleging that she was in her driveway when she was attacked.
“The accused approached her with his pants off and tried to force himself onto her; she was able to push the man off of her and kicked him hard before running away,
“The accused ran after her, but she screamed for help and her son came to her rescue,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The accused vanished after the incident, but police were able to trace him and he was arrested.
