The Primrose CPF has the following alerts for the community.
- Be on the lookout for silver Volvo, registration number BC 59 WJ GP, with four male occupants.
Also look out for a silver BMW, registration number TBK 943 GP, with four male occupants, as well as a silver Jetta, registration number unknown, with five male occupants.
- Crime is on the increase in Gerdview, so be alert.
Wendy Morgan, from the Primrose CPF, said that the CPF needs the community to get more involved by joining a Whatsapp group in their streets.
“If you are prepared to start a group in your street please contact me on 072 963 9675.
“You then get the details of those in your street and communicate with each other and become aware of crime trends, etc,” said Morgan.
“This is the time of the year crime tends to increase.
“We need to be more aware of our surroundings.”
Be alert and make sure no one is following you on your way home.
Check outside your property before you open your gate, when you are going to leave and then make sure your gate is closed properly before you drive off.
Do not park in your drive and wait for the gate to open.
Do not stand in the street and talk.
Park all vehicles inside and do not park them on the pavement.
