Be constantly alert and on your guard

CPF alerts the community to various crimes.

The Primrose CPF has communicated that, on Wednesday, the suburb had a number of crime incidents.

According to Wendy Morgan, the Primrose CPF secretary, there were two hijackings (one in Primrose East and one in Wychwood); a housebreaking in Homestead and an attempted housebreaking in Marlands.

The hijackings were allegedly committed by two men driving a white Audi A4, with no registration plates.

“If you do not have a Whatsapp group in your street please take the lead and start one – where there are groups, information is sent to the group and the residents go out and look.

“This makes the criminals aware that we are watching them and they move on,” said Morgan.

“This car that was involved in crime was seen in another street, where there is a group, but, sadly, it hit a road where there is no group.

“Encourage all your friends and family to start a group, with one person in the group to be added to the CPF group so that information can be forwarded.”

When you have started a group, contact Morgan on 072 963 9675 and come to the CPF meetings, so that the committee can meet you.

The Primrose CPF is also warning people, especially school children, to be careful when using the pedestrian bridge over the highway in Wychwood.

There have apparently been a number of muggings on the bridge.

“Also watch out for suspicious vehicles parked near the highway in Senator Road, Wychwood, observing residents,” Morgan said.
