Sgt Sam Ngqoleka secures conviction for Primrose police

Man sentenced to 12 years in prison for house robbery.

Detective Sgt Sam Ngqoleka, the investigating officer in the 2012 housebreaking of a home in Apple Street, has secured a conviction.

Kelvin Thabiso Manyathi (27) was arrested by Ngqoleka for the crime.

On August 25, Manyathi was found guilty in the Germiston Magistrates Court and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.

“The commander of the Primrose SAPS, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, and his management thank Sgt Ngqoleka for leaving no stone unturned when investigating this matter.

“It is through hard work and dedication that we get such achievements,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“The station commander is appealing to other members to learn from this successful conviction, if they want to be successful.”
