Two men arrested for possession of drugs

Benoni K9 unit assist Primrose police in arrest.

With the assistance of the Benoni K9 Unit, the Primrose police arrested two men for possession of drugs.

The two suspects, aged 27 and 29, were arrested in Oak Avenue, Primrose, during the Benoni K9 Unit’s crime prevention duties in the area.

Officers noticed the two men acting suspiciously, stopped them and searched them.

During the search the officers found packages containing drugs in the men’s possession, arrested them and took them to the Primrose Police Station, where they were formally charged.

“The management of the Primrose SAPS thank the members of the Benoni K9 Unit for such a success,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The suspects will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
