Calling all primary school students, enter the Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s poster competition

Annual primary school poster competition.

All primary school students are invited to show their support for the welfare of animals by entering the Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s (AACL) annual poster competition.

This year’s theme is “Give Us Hope”.

In order to enter the competition, children have to create posters depicting ways in which people show compassion and kindness to animals, care for and affect their lives in positive and constructive ways.

Entrants are reminded that the posters must not just be pretty pictures, but a picture with a message.

A slogan or title may also be used to contribute towards the overall theme of the poster.

A good poster will be one that grabs the attention of the community.

Students are encouraged to use paint, pastel, ink or crayon to bring their posters to life.

Each poster must be either A2 or A3 in size, and must contain the following information:

  • Child’s first name and surname.
  •  Child’s age.
  •  The category the child is entering.
  •  The child’s current grade
  •  The student’s school and contact information

Children may enter the competition as often as they like, with as many different posters as they like.

A nominal amount will be charged for each entry.

All money donated and/or raised through the competition will be used by the AACL in their on-going mission of caring for and protecting animals in need.

For payment information, call the AACL’s offices on 011 435-0672.

Posters that make it to the finals will be exhibited on Facebook, at www.facebook.com/AACLJHB.

Prize winners will also be announced through Facebook.

All posters should be sent to the AACL’s Johannesburg branch by October 31 by either:

  •  Post: PO Box 7, Rosettenville, 2130, Gauteng.
  •  Personal delivery to: 59 Alice Street, Regents Park, Johannesburg.
