Primrose police have their hands full

Thirty-one suspects arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area.

The Primrose police had their hands full during the week of August 18 to 24, with the arrest of 31 suspects.

The accused were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area.

Here is a breakdown of the arrests:

  • Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm 5
  • Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality 1
  • Possession of drugs 1
  • Contempt of court 1
  • Murder 1
  • Shoplifting 1
  • Dealing in/selling liquor without a licence 5
  • Dealing in drugs 1
  • Possession of a stolen motor vehicle 1
  • Illegal immigrants 14

“The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanks everyone who has contributed to these successes,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Col Khuzwayo continues to declare war against crime in Primrose.”

The suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where the cases were postponed for various reasons.
