Primrose police recently arrested a suspect, aged 39, at one of the houses in Beaconsfield Street, for running a brothel, perjury and trespassing .
“This happened after our members met ladies of the night, interrogated them and were informed that the ladies work for a certain man,” said the communication officer for the Primrose SAPS, Sgt Styles Maome.
Investigations were conducted and the suspect was cornered and arrested.
“As police, we are fighting prostitution that is taking place in our area and there are people who are promoting it; we will carry on with this disruptive operation until Primrose is free from prostitution and drugs,” added Maome.
The suspect appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the matter was postponed for trial.
