Man nabbed for malicious damage to state property

Primrose police arrested a suspect for malicious damage to state property.

The Primrose Police arrested a suspect, aged 34, for malicious damage to state property.

This happened after the suspect, who was initially arrested for drunkenness, damaged a state-owned table in the police holding cells.

The man was picked up on the street because he was allegedly causing problems for community members, as he was very drunk.

The police took him to the police station in order for him to rest a while before they could release him, but, instead, he became violent and broke the table, that is estimated to be valued at R5 000.

He was then charged with malicious damage to state property.

The suspect was detained at the Primrose Police Station and appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where the case was postponed for trial.
