Factory fire in Driehoek

Emergency services respond to factory fire.

On Saturday, May 17, at about 3pm, Ekurhuleni Emergency Services responded to a factory fire in Driehoek.

“Members of the Germiston Central, Primrose and Bedfordview Fire Departments worked tirelessly to get the fire at Queen Electricians under control,” said William Ntladi, media liaison officer from the emergency services.

“The fire started in the field close to the factory and spread.”

While oil drums and a portion of the building were damaged in the fire, emergency services were able stem the blaze and to save most of the factory.

Ekurhuleni Emergency Services members were able to save most of the factory from the fire.
