Robbery at Primrose Square

A warning to the community.

Angelica Gerber called the GCN this morning (Friday), with a warning.

Gerber explained that her husband, Heinz, had been robbed at knife point, at 6pm on Thursday evening, in the upper parking lot of the Primrose Square.

She added that the parking lot’s security guard had just left the area to take trolleys back to the centre’s Pick n Pay, when three men approached her husband and held him at knife point.

The thugs took his cell phone, his bank cards, the cash he had on him and disappeared.

Heinz was unable to describe the men in great detail, but believes them to be in their mid-20s; he also noticed that they all wore beanies, but that their faces were not covered.

“It’s important that we warn the community, so that they can be on their guard,” said Gerber.

The incident has since been reported to the Primrose police.
