EMPD officers nab drug dealers

EMPD officers get drugs off the streets.

EMPD Germiston Crime Prevention Unit members patrolling in Klopper Park, on May 3, arrested two men and confiscated drugs in their possession.

The officers spotted a man in a parked red VW Golf acting suspiciously.

They confronted him and, upon searching his vehicle, came across 15 packets of cocaine and eight packets of special cocaine estimated to be worth R15 000 on the streets.

The Metro Police officers then took the man to his flat, nearby in Skuda Street, where a friend of his was found in possession of three rocks of cocaine and one packet of crystal meth, valued at about R500.

The two men, who are in their early 30s, were taken to the Bedfordview Police Station and charged with possession of and dealing in illicit substances.
