Teachers spent the week before Easter teaching the children that Easter is not about Easter eggs but about how Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead for all people.

“We wanted to make a statement, even though our children are small, that we stand for the cross and for no bunny,” said Hermien Kruger, the owner of Smiley Kids Primrose.

“We decided to do a ‘Walk for Jesus’ on April 17 to make this important statement.”

The children enjoyed the walk immensely and Kruger thanks the EMPD for assisting with and participating in the walk.
