The Germiston SAPS nabbed two men, last Tuesday for being in possession of car breaking implements.
The arrests took place while the members were on a patrol doing stop-and-search operations in Germiston.
The men were spotted in Power Street, near the Germiston Spar area, where there have been a number of cars stolen in the past few months.
The police officers searched the men and found the implements on them.
An investigation will be conducted to see if the men can be linked to other cases relating to “theft of motor vehicle” in and around Germiston.
The men were arrested and detained at the Germiston Police Station SAPS by Consts Jacob Lebelo, Pat Marakalala, Alphius Zunku and Takalane Mapirimiza.
