Young ballerinas from Germiston, Edenvale, Bedfordview, Alberton, Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Kensington, Springs and Brakpan showcased their talent in Dance Encore, on Saturday.
The event took place in the Kempton Park Civic Centre.
Over 70 ballet dancers, aged between six and 20, were selected to perform on the basis of excellent results in their Cecchetti examinations, last year.
The dancers were coached for the performances by local teachers and performed in two specially choreographed items for this annual event, which has become the highlight of the East Rand Cecchetti Region’s calendar.
