Youth take to the streets against drugs

Youngsters march against drugs.

Young people recently took to the streets in a march against drugs.

The youth from the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Primrose Afrikaans Church, accompanied by the SDA English Path Finders, showed their commitment to a drug-free society.

The initiative was sponsored by Pizza Perfect and Burger Perfect, in the Primrose Square.

The morning started at the church in Petunia Road, Primrose, where God’s protection was prayed for ahead of the event, and then everyone met at Pizza Perfect and Burger Perfect to start marching.

The excitement was evident on all the children’s faces as they got ready to take to the streets.

As they walked, the children sang praises to God and handed out DVDS to passers-by regarding drug addiction.

The EMPD and the Primrose SAPS assisted the young marchers by controlling the traffic, and the church thanks them for the help.
