Man nabbed for dealing in dagga

Primrose Police arrest one suspect for dealing in dagga.

Primrose police arrested a suspect, aged 18, for dealing in dagga.

This happened during an operation, initiated by the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk, to up-root dagga plants in the informal settlements.

“While they were busy with the operation, our police received a tip-off from members of the community about a man selling dagga at one of the salons in the Makause informal settlement,” said the communications officer of the Primrose Police Station, Sgt Styles Maome.

“They followed the lead and arrested the suspect.”

The management of the station would like to thank members of the community who supplied the police with positive information.

“This is an indication that our community is also tired of the criminal activities that are taking place in the informal settlements,” added Maome.

The suspect appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the matter was postponed for trial.
