Man nabbed for Wychwood housebreaking

Suspect apprehended for Wychwood housebreaking.

The Primrose police were called to the scene of a housebreaking, in Tilia Road, Wychwood, on February 21.

Upon their arrival, officers were informed that the home owner had received a call from her daughter, telling her that their home had been broken into.

“The victim told officers that when she arrived home she noticed a man lying close to the house, but had not thought much of it and went straight into the house.

“She found that the kitchen door had been forced open and that her jewellery and R1 000 in cash had been taken,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.

Officers were able to track the man the victim had seen and he was arrested.

He appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.
