Past pupils reunion dinner

Sunnyridge Primary tries again.

Sunnyridge Primary School opened in 1953 and celebrated its 60th birthday last year, and all past pupils are again called on to participate in a reunion dinner.

The school and its governing body hope that starting a past pupil association will help both the community and the school.

Sandra Mc Manus, a member of the school’s governing body, says: “We hope that the association of past pupils will get the community interested and involved in the school, which will help the school in raising funds.

“The funds raised will be used to help less fortunate children to get the things they need for school; such as school books or a school jersey for the cold winter months.”

The governing body is planning to launch the association with a dinner and dance, at the school, on March 29.

“Bring the family; we would love to meet all the past pupils who have been through Sunnyridge Primary School and show them how the school has changed and the plans we have for the future,” added Mc Manus.

Booking for the event is essential, so people who are interested in attending the dinner or in learning more about the past pupil association can contact Mc Manus on 072-242-3191.
