Domestic violence is never the answer

Two men arrested for domestic violence.

The Primrose police recently arrested two men, aged 26 and 31, in two separate cases of domestic violence.

The first man was arrested in the Makause informal settlement, after the victim came to the Primrose Police Station to open a case of domestic violence against her boyfriend.

The victim told officers that her boyfriend had threatened to kill her, as a result of difficulties in their relationship.

This Makause informal settlement resident was one of two men recently arrested by the Primrose police on charges of domestic violence.

The second man was arrested when an officer received a call from a woman, claiming her husband had just assaulted her.

Officers rushed to the scene where they found the man and arrested him.

“We remind the community that violence is never an answer to problems in a relationship,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Both men appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, from where they were released on a warning.
