A 45-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police, following an assault that took place in the Delport informal settlement.
Officers were alerted to the crime when a man came into the Primrose Police Station claiming his friend had attacked him with a knobkerrie.
The victim explained that he had gone to visit his friend, but upon his arrival his friend had begun to hit him with a knobkerrie.
“The man insists that he did not provoke the accused; he said his friend had said nothing at all before the attack,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Officers were able to track the accused and he was arrested.
