A 25-year-old man was arrested recently in the Delport informal settlement on charges of theft and housebreaking.
The arrest was made after a man laid charges of theft and housebreaking against his friend.
The man explained that he had been visiting another friend and upon his return home discovered his house had been broken into and his clothes taken.
The man returned to the friend he had been visiting previously and together they went looking for the man they believed had taken the clothes, who was a friend of theirs.
On their arrival at the accused’s home they found the stolen clothes.
They immediately called the police.
Officers responded quickly and the man was arrested.
