CPF celebrates with a special function

A special evening to mark the end of the year.

A special function for the Lambton/Klip CPF was held at the Germiston Police Station, recently.

Among those present were Renee Germeshuisen (chairman of the CPF), Germiston police representatives and their wives, Lieut-Col Gary Lonely and his wife, Karina and Germiston Rotary Club members Tom Borril and Dr Pieter Pretorius, as well as members of the community.

A decorated Christmas cake to raise funds for the CPF patrollers was donated by the Rotary Anns of the Germiston Rotary Club and a raffle was held with the cake as the prize.

Karina Lonely drew the winning ticket (number two) and the cake was won by Welhelmina Coetzee of Boksburg.

A big thank you goes to all those who bought raffle tickets.

An amount of R2 800 was raised.

The Lambton/Klip CPF’s meetings are held every second Thursday of the month at Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston in Webber Road, Lambton.

Residents in the sector are urged to attend these meetings as valuable information about what is happening in the area is imparted.
