Despite the rain that drove the Team Hope volunteers and the children from various children's homes into the school hall, everyone was in high spirits as they enjoyed the Team Hope Christmas party, held at Ithembelihle Lsen School, in Primrose East, last Saturday, November 23.
Members of Team Hope hosted a Christmas party for all the charity homes they currently supports.
These homes include Rekopane Inclusive Development Centre, Remme-Los and Dolphin House, as well as the Ithembelihle Lsen School.
The Christmas party was held at Ithembelihle Lsen School, in Primrose East, last Saturday, November 23.
The community was invited to volunteer and spend a day with Team Hope and the children from the homes.
A guest speaker from Remme-Los was on hand to speak about the challenges of a disabled lifestyle, after which the attending children were treated to a fun-filled day and entertained by musicians, dancers, entertainers, football free-stylers and a trick bike rider.
Father Christmas was on hand to hand out gifts, with the help of Team Hope volunteers.
About 500 children attended the event and, with the support of Team Hope’s sponsors, Fedex/Supaswiftt, Just Curry, Lego Education, SuperSport, Rubins Motor Trimmers, ASA Steel Tech Services, Joyce and Pat Moodley, Kumaran Moodley and Himalaya, they were treated to a wonderful day.
