The Primrose police recently arrested a 34-year-old man for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, in Pretoria Road.
This occurred after the police received a complaint regarding an accident on Pretoria Road.
Upon their arrival, the police found a motor vehicle and a motorcycle involved in the incident.
“The victim alleged that the accused’s vehicle had bumped his motorcycle and that he smelt of liquor,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
“The police then approached the accused, who reeked of alcohol, struggled to talk and could hardly stand.”
The man was arrested and charges of reckless and negligent driving and driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol were laid against him.
