Sunnyridge Primary celebrates its 60th birthday

Sunnyridge Primary celebrating 60 years of learning.

Sunnyridge Primary School opened in 1953 and is celebrating its 60th birthday during this month of October.

And, in order to mark 60 years of learning, the school governing body has decided to launch the Past Pupils Association.

The school and its governing body hope that this association will help both the community and the school.

Sandra Mc Manus, a member of the school’s governing body, says: “We hope that the association will get the community interested and involved in the school, which will help the school in raising funds.

“The funds raised will be used to help less fortunate children to get the things they need for school; such as school books, or a school jersey for the cold winter months.”

The governing body is planning to launch the association with a dinner and dance, at the school, on October 19.

People who are interested in attending the dinner or in learning more about the Past Pupil Association, can contact Mc Manus on 072-242-3191.
