A man (20) was arrested for common robbery by the Primrose police recently, on Shamrock Road, in Primrose.
“While our officers were patrolling the area, one of them noticed someone running and, when he was asked why he was running, he informed the police that he had been robbed,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Maome told the GCN that the police managed to chase and catch one of the suspects accused of robbery.
“The victim positively identified the 20-year-old man as the culprit who took his money and slapped him,” added Maome.
He is expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
