A woman laid a charge of domestic violence against her husband recently, at the Primrose Police Station.
She reported that she had been assaulted by him when they were having an argument.
The police went to the Makause informal settlement and arrested the 26-year-old man, on charges of domestic violence.
“We appeal to the community to seek professional help when they encounter marital problems and not to take the law into their own hands, as this will lead them into trouble,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
The man appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and his case was remanded for trial.
