Creative, innovative scientific solutions rewarded at Eskom Expo
All in the name of science, future leaders from across Ekurhuleni showcased their innovative solutions to possibly solve environmental and societal issues at the Eskom Expo.
Creator of #EveryDropOfWaterCounts Kgaugelo Molaudzi, from Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School, displayed his scientific solution to water preservation at the Eskom Expo Ekurhuleni regional finals last Saturday at the Germiston City Hall.
This year’s Best Female Project at the Eskom Expo Ekurhuleni regional finals, the “Carbon Eater”, was created by Grade 11 learner Nyeleti Mashele from Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School in Kempton Park.

An “Electric Wireless Controlled Excavator”, a project by Nhlanhla Makofane, earned the Grade 10 learner from Phulong Secondary School in KwaThema the Best Development Project award at the Eskom Expo Ekurhuleni regional finals last Saturday.
Tackling societal issues such as the health implications of consuming junk food or healthy food was a learner from Dan Radebe Primary School, Kamohelo Motaung, who was thrilled to have been a part of this year’s Eskom Expo Ekurhuleni regional finals.
