FIFA World Cup 2014

Six finger keeper rescues Mexico

Does the Mexican number one really have six fingers on his right hand?

Nope.

Mexico’s gloveman, Guillermo Ochoa, doesn’t really have six fingers on his right hand but you may be forgiven for thinking he did after his heroic display between the posts for his team against the 2014 FIFA World Cup host nation Brazil in the Castelao Stadium in Fortaleza last night.

A Photoshopped image of the shot-stopper did its rounds after his courageous and valiant display in the teams’ second game of Group A and made it seem as if the keeper did indeed have six fingers.

One thing is for certain his performance against Neymar and the boys last night to ensure a point from a 0-0 draw will long be remembered as one of the greatest games a goalkeeper has had in football’s showpiece event.

He was a beast for his country and the shocking thing out of all of this is that he is currently without a club.

The former Ajaccio (France) man’s agent is probably the busiest man on the planet this morning with a number of top European clubs undoubtedly impressed with the 28-year-old’s Brazilian blockade.
