A man recently opened a case against a 28-year-old, he claims stole his motorbike.
The man told police that he had parked his motorbike in the driveway, and gone inside his Clarence Street home.
He returned shortly to the bike as he had forgotten something, it was then that he claims he witnessed the accused climbing onto his bike and riding away.
“The victim told police that he recognised the suspect as he drove away,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Detectives from the Primrose Police Station were able to follow several leads and the suspect was arrested.
The man has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court on charges of motorcycle theft.
His case has been postponed for plea and trial.
