Luso Africa held onto their third place in the Easterns Super League Division 1, on Saturday, drawing 2-2 with Alberton, at Hattingh Park.
Goals by Brent Vos and Clayton Botha gave the local side the draw after they had gone 1-0 down in the first half.
Luso showed character as they fought back to save the match.
The local side are third on the log behind second-placed Benoni Northerns and Highlands Park.
They will host Benoni on Saturday, before playing against Corinthians the following week.
This weekend’s match will be a big one between the two top sides and although there is still a way to go in the season, it could go a long way in showing who can be a threat to Highlands’ dominance at the top of the table.
Luso will know that they have to be in top form to beat Benoni Northerns.
