Catch all the boxing action

Don't miss out on the Friday night action at the Germiston Hellenic Hall on July 24.

Osborne “Big Daddy” Machimana will take on Modimba Muanza, in a comeback fight at the Germiston Hellenic Hall, on July 24.

The last time Machimana was seen in the ring was in 2013.

Now he is coming back with the South African title, which he held and defended eight times, in his sights.

The night will also see Clement Kamanga take on Silas Sithole, in a junior welterweight bout.

“Clement is not to be confused with his brother, Paul,” said trainer Anton Gilmore.

“Paul sticks and moves, while Clement is more upfront.”

Gilmore also said that Clement is being built up for big things.

“If he wins this fight he will be in action again two weeks later.

“He will also feature at Southern Giants in November, against a fighter from England, Jeff Saunders.”

Vusi Nyawuza will take on Tumisang Kasa in the junior featherweight division.

The tournament will be used to raise funds for an organisation called 11 Angels, which takes care of terminally-ill patients.
