Get into the spirit with Benjamin Dube

Gospel fans called to be part of Benjamin Dube’s live CD recording at Carnival City.

Celebrated South African gospel singer Benjamin Dube is recording the fifth instalment of his widely-revered “In His presence” album series, live in Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.

The event takes place on July 4 and the public is invited to be part of this exuberant evening of music, praise and worship.

For this live recording, Pastor Dube will lead worship with a star-studded line-up of gospel performers, including Nqubeko Mbatha and Ntokozo Mbambo from Joyous Celebration, the renowned Dube Brothers, and more.

“Gospel music enthusiasts can look forward to an evening of grand gospel entertainment and intimate worship with one of South Africa’s foremost music ministerial visionaries.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for people to come together in worship and be part of bringing to fruition the next CD in Pastor Dube’s popular series,” said Matthew Cook, the entertainment manager at Carnival City.

Loved by audiences of every age and background, Dube’s previous offerings included “In His Presence”, “Worship In His Presence”, “Healing In His Presence”, “Renewal In His Presence” and now, “Sanctified In His Presence”.

The founder of the High Praise Centre, in Boksburg, Dube recorded his first single, Holy Spirit, in 1986.

It was a cross-over hit song and chart buster on local radio stations and sold over 25 000 units in the year of its release in South Africa.

Buoyed by the phenomenal response to previous gospel album recordings at Carnival City, including the popular “Spirit of Praise”, Cook said a large crowd is expected in the big Top Arena for Dube’s live CD recording.
