The Primrose police are appealing to members of the community and organisations in Primrose to declare war against crime.
“Let us stand up and fight crime in our different sectors,” said station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo.
To encourage the sectors to get involved in the fight against crime, the police will be awarding a prize to the sector that performs the best after a detailed evaluation.
“Each sector is encouraged to motivate its stakeholders through channels such as Whatsapp groups,” explained Khuzwayo.
“As well as focusing on projects such as street leaders, block leaders, youth involvement and community patrollers, the sectors are encouraged to also get reservists, churches, schools, security companies and formal and informal businesses involved in preventing crime in their sectors.”
